professional athletes should be allowed to use performance-enhanciong drugs?

While some people claim that it is not true all PEDs have bad effects, so they state PEDs should be allowed as long as they are monitored. However, in my opinion, it should be banned. There are two reasons. First, athletes have to compete fairly. As Catlin(2012) states, "Just as all athletes must begin at the same starting line, they must also abide by the rules about what drugs they use." The next reason is that it is bad for athletes’ heath. According to using PEDs they might be suffered from some diseases which cause to PEDs. Goodman mentions, "As I have listened to fighters discussing their performance-enhancing drug use, along with their accompanying heart, kidney, liver, bone, brain and psychiatric ailments." Because of those reason it should be banned for athletes and their competitors.
