Social Media Survey


                  This report is based on recently researcher used face-to-face method on June 3, 2015 among a classmates sample of 8 in10 people asked about the social media. They were requested some answers about usually using app and websites, frequency, and reasons. Most of classmates answered that they usually use Facebook, Instagram. Japanese students also use Line to chat their friend. Chinese students tend to use Wechat. One of them is Korean; she replied that many Korean usually use Kakaotalk by messenger. All of them use social media at least once a day. The main reason to use social media is that they want to establish and maintain relationship with their friends and family. In addition, some students who use Instagram stated that they post their daily life and activities, and find some interesting things.

According to a national survey of teenagers conducted by the Pew Internet & American Life Project they find American youth age teenagers usually use online social networking sites. They have some special features. Over half of them don't want to expose their profile except allowed people. Almost them usually want to limited people. Also, they usually use online social networking at least one time every day. However, Older teens show different aspects; they show almost opposite to youth age teenagers. In addition, Teens say social networking sites help them to connect with their friend. They sometimes use that to flirt to other teens.

 

This report was made in January 7, 2007, and this used currently data. In addition, this was based on a survey from Pew Internet & American Life Project. This is fact-based information because researcher used telephone from October 23 through November 19, 2006, among a national sample of 935 youths ages 12-17 asked about the ways that teenagers use these sites and their reasons for doing so. This article was designed to inform, and it used survey data and number it is objective and proving.
